Poverty with marginalisation is still a reality & biggest challenges in India, even though the country is growing fast. Most people, especially women and children, live in very poor conditions. About 23 crore Indians fell into poverty just in the past year because of the pandemic and the lockdowns that followed. These unforeseen pandemics with the existing vulnerabilities really hurt the economy and people, jobs, making life even harder for those already struggling. Addressing the issue of poverty in India needs more than just economic growth of the country. It means creating dignity of life, equal; fair opportunities to the most vulnerable to fully develop; growing themselves, protection, education, providing secure healthcare, dignified livelihoods, etc for those who are usually left behind.
In order to address some of these challenges; contribute in making our society fair and equal, BHAVITA has come into existence on 20 th December 2021. Experienced people from the Development sector; Committed like-minded individuals are part of the board of Bhavita. Started with tiny steps, the organistion would like to focus on many more issues that are affecting the lives of underprivileged; vulnerable individuals and communities in protecting universal human rights and contributing to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
