Our Story

Poverty is still a big problem in India, even though the country is growing fast. Most people, especially women and children, live in very poor conditions. About 23 crore Indians fell into poverty just in the past year because of the pandemic and the lockdowns that followed. These unforeseen pandemics with the existing vulnerabilities really hurt the economy and people’s jobs, making life even harder for those already struggling. Addressing the issue of poverty in India needs more than just economic growth of the country. It means creating dignity of life, equal & fair opportunities for the most vulnerable to fully develop & grow themselves, protection, education, providing secure healthcare, dignified livelihoods, etc for those who are usually left behind.
